3. Why can’t I hide the Add to Cart button, quantity box, or variant dropdowns?

Our app’s functionality depends on your theme’s HTML structure. While it automatically detects most elements, some custom or vintage themes may require manual setup. In such cases, you’ll need to provide selectors for the key elements like Add to Cart button, Variant Dropdown, and Quantity Box.

4. What is a selector and why is it required?

  • A selector identifies a specific element (like a button or input box) on your store’s product page using a class name (e.g., .AddToCart-product-template) or an ID (e.g., #AddToCart-product-template).
  • The app uses these selectors to correctly connect its features with your store’s elements — such as the Add to Cart button, Variant Dropdown, and Quantity Box.

5. How can I find the Add to Cart button selector?

  • Right-click on your Add to Cart button on your storefront and choose Inspect.
  • Look for a unique class or ID, for example:
    • Class: .AddToCart-product-template
    • ID: #AddToCart-product-template
  • Copy this value and enter it into the app setting field labeled Add to Cart Button Selector.

6. How can I find the Variant Dropdown selector?

  • Right-click on your product variant dropdown and select Inspect.
  • Check for a class or ID, for example:
    • Class: .selector-wrapper
    • ID: #selector-wrapper
  • Enter the value into the app field labeled Variant Dropdown Selector.

7. How can I find the Quantity Box selector?

  • Right-click on your product quantity input box and choose Inspect.
  • Locate its class or ID, for example:
    • Class: .quantity-wrapper
    • ID: #quantity-wrapper
  • Copy the value and enter it into the app field labeled Quantity Selector.

8. Do I need to update selectors after changing my theme?

Yes, you do. Each Shopify theme has its own HTML structure. After changing your theme, you should recheck and update the selectors to make sure the app functions correctly.

Once you’ve found and verified all selectors, add them in their respective fields within the app’s settings:

  • Step 1: Go to Admin >> Apps >> C: Product Variants in Table >> General Settings >> Visibility Settings.

9. The Product Variants in Table app is not working after changing my theme. What should I do?

If you’ve changed your Shopify theme, the app settings and embedded code may need to be reconfigured for your new theme. Please follow the complete setup guide to re-enable the app in your current theme.

10. Will I lose my data after uninstalling the app?

Yes. All app-related data will be automatically removed from our system within 48 hours after the app is uninstalled.

If you plan to reinstall the app later, please make sure to back up any important data before uninstalling.

11. I see app files inside my theme. How can I remove them?

You can safely remove the app-related files from your theme by following the steps below. Go to your currently active theme and delete the following files manually:

  • snippets/cws_variant_table.liquid
  • snippets/cws_cart_popup.liquid
  • assets/variant_table.css
  • assets/cws_variant_table.js
  • assets/cws_variant_install.js
  • assets/cws_variant_init.js
  • assets/variant-loader.gif
  • assets/cws-variant-cart.png
  • assets/variant_no_img.png

12. How can I modify the style or appearance of the Variant Table?

You can customize the look and feel of the Product Variants Table using our built-in design settings or by adding your own custom CSS. For detailed steps and examples, please refer to our Design Settings Documentation.

13. How can I display “Variant Images” in the Variant Table?

Go to Shopify Admin >> Apps >> C: Product Variants in Table >> General Settings >> Product Display Settings. Then, check the option “Show Variant Images in Table” and click on the Save button to apply the changes.

14. How can I enable “Single Add to Cart” in the Variant Table?

Go to Shopify Admin >> Apps >> C: Product Variants in Table >> General Settings >> Cart & Button Settings. Then, check the option “Enable Single Add to Cart” and click on the Save button to apply the changes.

15. Why is my Quantity (Qty) plus (+) button increasing the value by 2?

This issue occurs because our app automatically injects script codes for themes that don’t support the “App Blocks” feature (OS 2.0 themes). If you’ve also manually enabled the app from the App Embeds section, the scripts are loaded twice — causing the quantity value to increment by 2.

To fix this, simply go to your Theme Customizer >> Theme Settings >> App Embeds section and turn off the app embed for our app. Then, click on the Save button at the top-right corner.

You can easily change your plan interval directly from the app. Click on the “Pricing Plan” button located at the top of the app dashboard. You will see the screen shown below — click the “Switch Plan” button to change your plan type.

Once you confirm, Shopify will automatically cancel your old charge and activate the new plan when you approve it.

18. How can I turn off auto-renewal for my annual plan? Will I still be able to use the app?

Yes, you can turn off auto-renewal for your annual plan directly from the app. Go to the app dashboard and click on the “Pricing Plan” button. From there, follow the on-screen instructions as shown below.

NOTE: If you turn off auto-renewal, you can continue using the app until your current billing cycle ends. You can re-enable renewal or re-subscribe anytime in the future.

19. How will the price be calculated if I switch from the Monthly Plan to the Annual Plan?

When you upgrade your plan from a lower-priced option to a higher-priced one, Shopify automatically applies proration — meaning you only pay the difference based on the remaining days in your current billing cycle.

For example, if you start a 30-day billing cycle on a $5/month plan and upgrade to a $15/month plan on day 15, you’ll be charged $5 + ($15 – $5) × (15/30) = $10.

You can learn more about proration in Shopify’s billing documentation here: Click here.

20. What happens if I switch from the Annual Plan to the Monthly Plan?

If you switch from an annual plan to a monthly plan, Shopify will defer the new charge until your current annual subscription period ends. This means your new monthly plan will start automatically after your existing annual cycle expires.

Example: If you began an annual subscription in January and switched to a monthly plan in September, your new monthly plan would start when your current annual plan expires in January.
